North Country Electric Service is looking for an HVAC Service Technician to join our team. This position is focused on servicing, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining residential heating and cooling systems. The right candidate takes pride in doing clean, professional work, communicates well with customers, and can accurately diagnose problems without unnecessary callbacks.
Responsibilities:
- Service, diagnose, and repair residential heating and air conditioning systems
- Perform routine maintenance on furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and indoor air quality equipment
- Identify system issues and provide clear repair or replacement recommendations
- Communicate professionally with homeowners and office staff
- Complete job documentation, photos, and notes accurately
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and service vehicle
- Follow company procedures, safety policies, and code requirements
- Represent North Country Electric Service in a professional manner on every job
Qualifications:
- Previous HVAC service experience required
- EPA certification required
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with HVAC wiring diagrams and controls
- Ability to work independently and make sound field decisions
- Strong customer communication skills
- Ability to handle the physical demands of HVAC service work
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
